Job Title: Manufacturing / Production Engineering
Location: Troy, MI Onsite
Duration: Fulltime Hire with Client TCS
Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000 a year + benefits
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
5+ years' experience in Aerospace and Defense industry
7-10 years of manufacturing / production engineering experience, ideally in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
Expert in 2D drafting and 3D CAD with the proven ability to create and update drawings (shop aids, tooling, and detail drawings).
2D drafting & 3D CAD (SOLIDWORKS / ALTIUM / CATIA / Creo / NX /), GD&T, PFMEA templates, VSM / lean toolset, routing & work-order systems (ERP/MES), tooling-design and maintenance-planning tools.
Practical experience authoring PFMEA, work instructions, routings, and shop-floor documentation.
Working knowledge of lean tools - Value Stream Mapping, TAKT / cycle-time analysis, and cell-layout optimization.
Familiarity with tooling design and retro-engineering of legacy parts.
Comfortable working on the shop floor and collaborating with operators, quality, and the client industrial focal point.
Experience with aerospace integrated systems that include mechanical, electrical, software integration. Experience with composite material and bonding process a clear plus.
Exposure to integrating 3D-scanning / reverse-engineering workflows.
Experience with Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) and first-article inspection.
Familiarity with AS9100 / aerospace quality systems and packaging specifications for BUY items.
Familiarity with UAV / unmanned-systems programs.
Green Belt (Lean / Six Sigma) or equivalent continuous-improvement training.
Exposure to AS9100 / aerospace quality systems and DFM-driven cost reduction.
Exposure to Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) a plus
