BACK OF KITCHEN COORDINATOR

Chick-fil-A Gandy | Full-Time Leadership Role

Our Back of Kitchen Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining operational excellence and developing future leaders in the kitchen. This is not just a shift lead role. What You’ll Be Responsible For

Operational Excellence

• Lead food preparation and cooking to Chick-fil-A quality standards
• Oversee raw chicken prep, freezer and refrigerator inventory freshness
• Maintain cooking times and product consistency
• Ensure the kitchen is fully stocked and set up for peak hours
• Manage opening and handoff processes for AM/PM transitions

Food Safety & Sanitation

• Enforce food safety, labeling, rotation, and temperature compliance
• Oversee equipment cleanliness and maintenance (fryers, grills, breading area)
• Ensure proper filter lock-outs, boil-outs, FIFO & LEAN procedures
• Maintain OSHA and health department standards

Kitchen Leadership

• Supervise and coach back-of-house team members
• Train new hires in preparation techniques and safety protocols
• Set the tone for urgency, accountability, and teamwork
• Troubleshoot operational bottlenecks in real time
• Support catering, curbside, and 3rd-party execution during high volume

Shift Leadership

• Act as key holder and lead closing procedures
• Communicate effectively with Directors and front-of-house leadership

Who We’re Looking For

• 1–2+ years of kitchen or food service experience (leadership preferred)
• Experience in high-volume environments
• Strong understanding of food safety and preparation standards
• Ability to lead under pressure and solve problems quickly
• High attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Reliable transportation
• Commitment to Chick-fil-A’s CORE 4 (Smile, Eye Contact, Speak Enthusiastically, “My Pleasure”)
