Controls & Robotics Engineer
Machine Vision, Robotics & Industrial Automation

We are seeking a hands-on Controls & Robotics Engineer to design, develop, and implement advanced automation solutions integrating machine vision, robotics, and industrial controls. This is a project-driven engineering role focused on delivering fully integrated systems for high-speed manufacturing and production environments.

What You’ll Do

Design and program machine vision systems for inspection, measurement, and verification
Integrate vision systems with PLCs, robotics, HMIs, and custom automation equipment
Develop vision-guided robotic applications for high-speed production environments
Configure and optimize cameras, optics, and lighting for maximum reliability and accuracy
Support system commissioning, debugging, FAT/SAT, and customer acceptance testing
Collaborate with engineering, controls, and manufacturing teams to deliver turnkey automation systems
Troubleshoot and optimize controls, robotics, and vision performance in production environments

Technical Environment

Vision Systems: Cognex, Keyence, Matrox Imaging
Robotics: ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Denso
Controls: PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks
Programming: C/C++ and/or JavaScript
Applications: 2D/3D vision, barcode/OCR, inspection and verification systems

Qualifications

B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
5+ years of experience in machine vision, robotics, and systems integration
Strong background in industrial automation and controls engineering
Experience in OEM, automation integration, or custom machine build environments preferred
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and client-facing skills
Ability to travel approximately 20–25%

Compensation & Benefits

$80,000 – $135,000 + bonus
