**Job Type:** Locum **Profession/Specialty:** Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Cardiology

**Dates of Coverage:** Starting 9/8/2026, weekly from Monday to Friday

**Schedule:** 0730 - 1630 **Call Coverage:** Yes

**Call Type:** Beeper/Phone Call **Call Ratio:** 1:3 to 1:4

**Average Call Back Hours:** Approximately 2 hours

**Number of Providers Needed:** 1

**Practice Settings:** Inpatient/Hospital-Based

**Patient Population:** Adults and geriatric patients

**Outpatient vs. Inpatient Care:** 100% inpatient

**Average Patient Volume:** Varies based on hospital capacity, generally ranging from 10-15+ patients per day

**Required Duties and Skills:** - Provide inpatient cardiology care as an Advanced Practice Clinician (APC), functioning independently alongside an Interventional Cardiologist

- Responsibilities will include managing new admissions, conducting follow-ups, patient rounding, documentation, discharge planning, and care coordination

**EMR/Documentation System:** EPIC

**Credentialing Information:** - **Estimated Credentialing Timeframe:** ASAP

- **Temporary Privileges Available:** Yes 

**Travel and Logistics:**

- **Approved Reimbursements:** Airfare, lodging, and mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate

Qualifications

- **Board Certification:** Must be Board Certified

- **Required Specialty Certification:** Advanced Practice NP

- **Open to New Graduate Candidates?** No

**Licensing and Certifications Required:** - **Active Virginia License:

** Required - **Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, DEA

**Experience Requirements:** Minimum of 2 years in a relevant clinical setting

**Malpractice Limitations:** Clean background with no history of malpractice or license-related issues; no exceptions

**Shift Description:** - Weekly shifts from 9/8/2026, Monday through Friday, 0730 - 1630, with first call duty required for weeknights and weekends

**Mandated Job Requirements:** 

  - Board Certification: Required - Advanced Practice NP

 Active Virginia License: Required

- Current Certification in ACLS, BLS, and DEA: Required

- Clean background with no malpractice or license issues: 

Required
