We are seeking a Board-Certified Locums Pediatric Hospitalist Physician to provide 12-hour night shift coverage in Asheville, North Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Pediatric Hospitalist with strong inpatient and procedural skills.
Position Highlights
Schedule: 12-hour pediatric night shifts
Shift Length: 12 hours
Patient Volume: Approximately 10–18 patients per shift
EMR: Cerner
No delivery coverage
No circumcisions
Responsibilities
Provide inpatient pediatric hospitalist coverage
Manage pediatric patients with a range of acute and complex medical conditions
Care for pediatric patients with subspecialty needs
Perform procedures as needed, including:
Lumbar punctures
Occasional internal jugular (IJ) line placement
Collaborate with specialists and the interdisciplinary care team
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Requirements
Board Certification required
Active North Carolina medical license
Active North Carolina DEA
Current PALS certification
Experience managing pediatric subspecialty patients
